Nicholas Pooran is playing well as is evident from the 295 runs scored by him in 10 matches averaging 36.87. He has scored two fifties, and his highest score is 77.
West Indies wicket-keeper explosive batsman Nicholas Pooran was eventually signed up by Kings XI Punjab for a salary of INR 4.2 crore in 2019. With the “Universe Boss” Chris Gayle in the same team as him, Nicholas Pooran played seven games in his debut IPL season scoring 168 runs averaging a modest 28.

Nicholas Pooran: Everything Working For KXIP Now
After securing the third consecutive win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by beating RCB, MI and now DC, Kings XI Punjab’s (KXIP) Nicholas Pooran said he is happy to get over the line against the table-toppers, Delhi Capitals.
KXIP were at the bottom of the table at one time with only one win and six losses with two points but now have eight points with four wins and six losses from 10 matches and are currently placed 5th. KXIP could have moved further ahead in the points table but lost narrowly to Kolkata by two runs, Delhi in their 1st match in Super Over and Rajasthan Royals where they failed to defend 223 runs.

“Everything is working for us now. We have started to click as a team. Most importantly, I always believe that in T20 cricket, momentum is everything. I think we have started to peak at the right time. We do not want to take anything for granted and just want to continue to improve,” Pooran told Glenn Maxwell in a video posted by iplt20.com.
KXIP defeated Delhi Capitals by five wickets here at Dubai as Punjab chased down the target of 165 with six balls to spare. Nicholas Pooran played a knock of 53 off only 28 balls with six fours and three sixes during the chase. MOM Shikhar Dhawan’s second consecutive century went in vain.
Nicholas Pooran: Chris Gayle Is Back And Bringing Lot Of Confidence
Nicholas Pooran said both batsmen and bowlers are now delivering good performances for the team.
“Before these three games, we spoke and it was that we have to win, Chris (Gayle) spoke about that there is only one way from here and it is upwards. We knew that we have to deliver in the powerplay and at the backend,” he said.

“Chris is back in the team, he brought a lot of confidence. Shami, Chris Jordan, and Arshdeep are having an impact and spinners are also having a big impact,” Pooran added.
Chris Gayle’s inclusion after recovering from stomach problem and not being considered in the initial matches have been a magic charm for KXIP as the move paid rich dividends as KXIP won all their three matches when Chris Gayle have been included in XI. Chris Gayle has scored 106 runs in three matches averaging 35.33 with highest being 53.
