Virender Sehwag commented that Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni looked like his past self and AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli literally went in a ‘coma’, according to Sehwag considering their batting — as Royal Challengers Bangalore lost by 8 wickets to Chennai Super Kings and missed an opportunity to go on top of the points table.
The result saw CSK ending their losing streak in IPL 2020 to get their 4th win in 12 matches. However, the result of Sunday’s second match where Rajasthan Royals beat defending champions Mumbai Indians also confirmed that MS Dhoni’s men no longer remained in contention for playoffs and remain at last 8th spot.

Virender Sehwag – AB De Villiers And Virat Kohli’s Partnership Seemed To Be In Coma As They Found It Tough To Get Going
But RCB will need to rework their strategy for the next three games that they are left with in IPL 2020, as the partnership between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers just did not seem to get going on Sunday. The two batsmen spent a fair amount of time on the crease, nearly 11 overs, but managed to get only 82 runs between them at just 7.5 runs per over. Mitchell Santner, Imran Tahir and Ravindra Jadeja didn’t pick many wickets but checked RCB’s progress.
“But what’s this? AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli batted together from the 7th over onwards. However till the 18th over their partnership seemed to be in coma. I even took a powernap in between.”

“When I woke up they were still batting at the same pace. They hadn’t started to go for the big shots. And then de Villiers got out in the 18th over and the CSK bowlers were able to restrict RCB to 145/6,” Sehwag said in his YouTube video titled ‘Viru ki Baithak’.
And once AB de Villiers was dismissed in the 18th over, CSK bowlers were able to restrict them to a below par score of 145. Former India opener Virender Sehwag, known as a quirky commentator, said that it seemed like the partnership was in coma on Sunday against CSK without injured Dwayne Bravo and Shardul Thakur.
Virender Sehwag – MS Dhoni Was Back In Full Captaincy Mode
Virender Sehwag also said that in the match against RCB on Sunday, it was good to see CSK skipper MS Dhoni captain the side like he used to do in the past. He described it as MS Dhoni getting back to his ‘full captaincy mode’.
“We got to see MS Dhoni back in his ‘full captaincy mode’ on Sunday. He seemed like the Dhoni of the past, making fantastic decisions on the field.”

“He made good bowling changes, and picking Santner was a smart decision. He used Deepak Chahar and Sam Curran fully in the death overs,” the Delhi batsman said.
Sam Curran was the wrecker in chief with three wickets conceding 19 runs while Deepak Chahar had figures of 2/31 in 4 overs. While Sam Curran picked up Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli and Moeen Ali , Deepak Chahar picked up AB De Villiers and Chris Morris. Virat Kohli scored 50 and AB De Villiers scored 39 as CSK chased 146 quite comfortably with opener Ruturaj Gaikwad scoring an unbeaten 65.
