Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians skipper, said that his hamstring was fine, although he was dismissed for only four runs off seven balls in his team’s 10-wickets defeat to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Sharjah.
He was returning to lead the team after four matches, owing to the hamstring injury which drew widespread attention and controversy.

Rohit Sharma: Happy To Be Back For Mumbai Indians
Rohit Sharma, however, stayed on the field for the entire duration of the SunRisers Hyderabad innings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. SunRisers Hyderabad overhauled the 150 runs target in the 18th over without losing a wicket after both openers skipper David Warner and wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha hit the fifties.
“I was happy to be back; it’s been a while. I was going through some tough times, but [it is] good to back,” Rohit said after the match.
“I’m looking forward to playing few more games here and then see what happens. Always nice to be on the ground doing what I love to do.

When commentator Mark Nicholas asked him if his hamstring was “completely fine”, Rohit replied: “Ya, absolutely!”
Rohit Sharma took the field on Tuesday, after missing four matches despite BCCI president Sourav Ganguly saying that the Mumbai Indians captain was injured and that his injury was being monitored. The contrasting statements surrounding Rohit Sharma’s injury has raised quite a few eyebrows.
Sourav Ganguly’s Contrasting Statements About Rohit Sharma Raises Eyebrows
Apparently, due to the injury, Rohit Sharma was not picked in any of the three Indian squads selected for the tour of Australia commencing in November end. The fact that there has been no explanation from the selectors has aggravated the matter.

Sanjeev Gupta, a cricket activist on Tuesday, shot off an email to the Apex Council member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), questioning Sourav Ganguly’s knowledge of affairs and further appealed the council to get the matter investigated and take stringent measures immediately.
Sourav Ganguly had told media persons that the Mumbai Indians skipper was under monitoring and would be picked for this month’s tour of Australia if found fit to play. He had also insisted that Rohit Sharma’s snub for the Australian tour was since the Mumbai batsman was unfit.
