Ahead of Mumbai Indians crucial encounter with Delhi Capitals on Thursday (November 5), Hardik Pandya opined that he was hopeful of seeing his team lifting the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 trophy.
In the recent video posted on Mumbai Indian’s official social media account, Hardik Pandya stated that he was pleased with his team’s effort even though they have a slow start to this season.
Talking about his performance, the fast bowling allrounder, which is only being used as the pure batsman, said that he has been working on his batting and was happy for being a part of the winning cause.
“The boys have played fantastically, can’t ask for more. We’ve been kind of slow starters always but touchwood this year has been a good ride so far. Working on my batting, and things are coming pretty well. It’s a matter of opportunity and it’s about what the team requires when I go to bat,” Hardik Pandya said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians have not dependent on anyone player’s performance. Even though their batting mainstay and skipper Rohit Sharma missed out last four matches, the youngsters to experience have stepped in to take the responsibility. Hardik Pandya is also impressed with the same that everyone has chipped in at the right time to seal the deal for MI.
As his side is taking one step closer to their 6th final, he hopes that the defending champion could lift the trophy of the 13th edition of the league.
“So far it’s looking good and I am just happy that we all are able to contribute in a way that everyone is chipping in at the right time. We’re getting the desired results as well. Now the crunch-time comes, the best leg of the league, and hopefully, we can get the cup,” Pandya added.

After losing the season opener against Chennai Super Kings, the Rohit Sharma-led side had a smooth ride in the further league stage with winning nine matches out of 13. Without any pressure to maintain the run rate, they qualified for the playoffs even when they were still two matches left to play in the group stage.
