Virat Kohli: Instincts Guides One In Right Direction
Virat Kohli will now be looking to get his hands on RCB’s first Indian Premier League trophy this season. His team Royal Challengers Bangalore are playing SunRisers Hyderabad in an IPL Eliminator on Friday and have a chance to play Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2 if they win. A win in Qualifier 2 means they come face to face with Mumbai Indians in the final. Before the game, he informed that he follows instincts and in the case being outplayed by the opposition, he accepts it and moves forward.
“You need to be aware on the field to be able to adjust to different situations. Sometimes you prepare for Plan A but Plan B hits you really, really early in the game. I think it is left up to your own intelligence as a player and try to bring that experience onto the field. Just have the awareness of where the game is heading,” Virat Kohli said in a video posted by RCB on Twitter when answering about his captaincy style.

“I am big on instinct. I think your instincts usually guide you in the right direction and I try to follow that every time. Sometimes, when the opposition outplays you, you have to accept it and move on,” he added.
RCB delivered a good performance in this season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by winning and losing 7 matches each and finished the league stage of the tournament on the fourth position with 14 points.
Virat Kohli: Excited And Ready For Upcoming Matches
Virat Kohli said it is great to qualify for the playoffs and he is extremely excited for the upcoming games.
“It is a great feeling to be a part of the last four. Qualification is something that every team aims for initially and we have crossed that hurdle. It is only exciting us more and more to be ready for what is to unfold in the next week for us… We are very, very excited about the upcoming games and everyone has worked hard. It feels great. For the last three years, we had not done it but, here we are,” he said.

Royal Challengers Bangalore never won IPL but were runners up in 2009, 2011 and 2016. The last time RCB were runners up in 2016, Virat Kohli had amassed 973 runs in 16 matches with as many as 4 centuries averaging a staggering 81.08.
Virat Kohli would want to increase upon his strike rate of 122, which is below par considering his calibre. Experts and critics, along with fans will look forward if he adds to his five hundreds or 39 fifties in the 1st eliminator.
