Former Australian skipper Steve Smith has stated that he is all charged and geared up to take on the India National Cricket Team in the upcoming Test series on India’s tour of Australia 2020-21.
Smith missed out on the opportunity the last time team India travelled to Australia in 2018 as he was banned by Cricket Australia after being involved in the infamous Sandpapergate scandal. In his absence, team India created history as they won their first Test series in Australia.

Steve Smith Charged Up For The Series Against India
“So excited to get back out and play some long-form cricket. It’s been close to a year since our last game. Can’t wait — all the boys are really keen to get out there and play as well,” Smith said.

Smith skippered the team until he was banned for a year in 2018 over a brazen attempt under his watch to alter the ball with sandpaper in Cape Town.
“I watched bits and pieces,” he said of the tour. “It was difficult sitting on the sidelines and not being able to go out there and make a difference. That was the toughest thing for me, knowing that I probably could make a difference if I was out there. So that was hard. But it’s an exciting series coming up,” Smith further said.
Team India To Take On Australia In The Test Series From December 17
The India team’s Test campaign against Australia will begin from December 17 as the first Test will get underway at the Adelaide Oval. The first Test will be a Day-Night Pink-Ball Test match, which will be the first Day-Night Test match between India and Australia.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli will return back to India after the first Test as he has been granted paternity leave by the BCCI. The odds are level in the tour so far as both the teams have gone on to win 3 games each on the tour so far.
