After Mohammad Amir revealed that Pakistan team management was mentally touring him, former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has also revealed that he was also treated like Amir during the World Cup 2011. On Thursday, Amir came out openly to express his disappointment with the current team management and stated that he is quitting international cricket. His sudden announcement has shocked everyone but Akhtar has supported him.
Cricketer-turned-Youtuber Shoaib Akhtar, in his recent video, opened up that he was also under similar conditions as Amir during the World Cup 2011, which India won. He had his share of fall out with PCB and after that World Cup, he also retired from international cricket.
“I openly say I was not treated well during the 2011 World Cup, not by Afridi but by the rest of the management. I am saying it openly. I was harassed but I didn’t care as I had already announced my retirement, ” Shoaib Akhtar said.

But Shoaib Akhtar reckons that if Amir had proved his case with his performance, there was no chance of him being dropped from the team. This was his reaction to the pacer being snubbed from the New Zealand tour, which will kick start from December 18.
“Amir should have bowled well and improved his performance so that no one could remove him from the team. You have to face your fears and you must confront management but by performing,” he added.
Shoaib Akhtar offers for training Mohammad Amir:

Shoaib Akhtar also offered that he can transform Mohammad Amir to his best if he trains under him for two months. He reckons that Amir can make comeback.
“If you hand Amir to me for two months, everyone sees him bowling over 150 km/h. I can teach him that I taught him three years ago. He can make a comeback,” Shoaib Akhtar maintained.
Mohammad Amir last played for Pakistan in August this year during the England tour. After that, Pakistan has played against Zimbabwe but he wasn’t picked and has also been snubbed from the ongoing New Zealand tour.
