Kings XI Punjab batting first scored a respectable total. Gujarat Lions in their debut IPL match impressed everyone with their bowling. Rajkot bowler Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets while DJ Bravo took three wickets while Murali Vijay scored 42 for Kings XI Punjab. But, Wriddhiman Saha and Marcus Stoinis played very slowly that affected Punjab run rate. Kings XI Punjab finally scored 161 losing five wickets.
