Liverpool‘s Uruguyan 30-goal a season striker Luis Suarez says that ‘nothing is going to happen’ regarding his future at the club in this summer as he focuses on fulfilling a dream and winning the title in the last 2 games despite the title-race spilling out of their own hands.
After having scooped up The PFA player of the year just a week ago Suarez is still being linked with the likes of Real Madrid.
Having scored a whopping 30 goals this season with Liverpool despite missing out on the first few game due to suspension Suarez has been at his best behaviour both on and off the field which has only enhanced his reputation as one of the world’s best players.
Despite only signing a new lucrative contract at Anfield in December, which made the Uruguyan the highest paid player to have played for the Reds there have been rumors flying around of a keen interest shown by Spanish giants Real Madrid.
When asked in an interview with Uruguay television station Canal 10 whether the broadcasters should be contacting the Liverpool number 7 in England or Spain from next season on he said, ‘I’m very happy here and my family is happy here.
‘Don’t worry nothing is going to happen to me. If we could win the Premier League and bring the trophy home it would be incredible, a dream come true.’
A dream that is very absurdly reliant on neighbours Everton doing the Reds a favour and beating or holding Manchester City at Goodison Park on Saturday as Suarez and co chase an elusive 19th league title for the club.
Slip ups from City in the final 3 games resulting in dropped points will throw Reds’ destiny back in their own hands, having let it slip with a frustrating 2-0 home defeat by Chelsea last Sunday.
Title or no Title at least there’s some good news for Liverpool fans as they are assured that they will see their beloved Uruguayan in a Red shirt next season.
