Former WWE World champion Christian Cage signs a multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling during the Revolution pay-per-view event. He has not spoken to any media since then until he finally talked in the St. Patrick’s Day edition of the AEW Show. Christian Cage has clearly stated in that interview that he wants to have a long and successful career at the All Elite Wrestling;

“It’s simple. I’m in AEW to cement my legacy. I’m in AEW to put to action three simple words: Out…work…everyone.”

Christian Cage says he is in AEW to Cement his Legacy

Even though Christian Cage is a forty-Seven-year-old man and a lot of fans and pundits believe that he is already past his prime, he has always proved his critics wrong with his recent performances. He did not go to any other wrestling company after returning to WWE in 2009. However, he was never given any suitable run under WWE since 2014. He made lots of sporadic appearances since then.

It has been a rumour for months that Christian Cage might sign for All Elite Wrestling very soon. The AEW fans were badly waiting to see Captain Charisma in the newest rival promotion of WWE. With the signing of Christian Cage, All Elite Wrestling has a lot of stars filled in the company. Things are really getting brighter for the promotion of Tony Khan day by day.

Before joining AEW, he talked to Wrestling Illustrated where he revealed his previous contract talks with WWE;

“There were some cordial talks, and I can’t really elaborate beyond that. I’m not sure where their heads were at creatively. I understand how big it was (Royal Rumble return). That’s not lost on me. It was humbling how much that meant to people.”

He also talked about his bonding with his buddy Edge and he stayed at his house at the weekend of Royal Rumble;

“He stayed at my house that weekend for the Rumble. There were only a handful of people that knew I was cleared, and I got a call at 7:30 that Friday night asking if I’d like to be a surprise in the Rumble. I’ve always bet on myself, so I said, ‘Let’s do it.’ It was a whirlwind from there. We went out there and had a great moment.”

Moreover, it is really pleasing to see Christian Cage in AEW and it will really great to see him wrestle full time again. One thing everyone can agree to is, he could never show the best of him in WWE but he can definitely become a worthy main event star in the AEW. This new deal is really a great opportunity for him and we are pretty sure that fans could not ask for anything better than this.
