One Hundred and Fifty-Six!

You read it right, Andre the Giant actually drank 156 beers in a single sitting!

This was all just an urban legend for years with there was no solid proof behind it. The reason why most of the fans did not believe this story. But in 2013, WWE confirmed this story to be true. In an article, they published that year where they finally announced that this is not a myth. This is actually true. Andre the Giant actually drank one hundred and fifty-six beers in a single sitting!

The incident was first broke by the late Mike Graham first broke the news a long ago. It was still a rumor until Andre’s close friend Tim White revealed the real story.

“He could drink an airplane dry before it got to take off,” Tim White was asked by WWEClassics and told them the story, “He’d go into a restaurant and eat 12 steaks and 15 lobsters. He didn’t do that often, but if he felt like putting on a show and having some laughs, he’d go ahead and do that.”

It is very unfortunate that there is no solid proof behind this story, if it had some, Andre could have listed his name into the Guinness Book of World Records for sure. Andre the Giant proved again and again to the world that he was actually worthy of the nickname that the wrestling world gave him; The Giant.
