Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc recently got married to his long-time girlfriend Alyssa Healy. As they tied the knot, cricket got a unique couple who played Test cricket for their nations. Their marriage sparked a question in many cricket lovers’ minds: Are they the first cricketers couple to get married? The answer is no, as few cricketers found their lady love from their own community – cricket. There are three other couple who romanced and hitched with each other and led a beautiful life. Healy and Stars are not the first Test couple who have played for their country.
Starc has become the spearhead of Australia while his wife Alyssa Healy, is a niece of famous Australian wicketkeeper Ian Healy, is the wicketkeeper of Southern Stars team. Starc, 26, so far, has played 25 Tests and 46 ODI matches. In ODI, he has taken 91 wickets and in Test 90 wickets. Healy, 26, has played 32 Odis and two Tests.
The first cricket couple in the history is from cricket’s birthplace England.
