Rhea Ripley Defeated Asuka To Become New WWE Raw Women’s Champion
On paper, it was a huge match! Asuka vs Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 37, and that is also for the WWE Raw Women;c Championship, what else could you ask for? It was like two comic book superheroes fighting in real life! But the backstory, and that ruins everything about this match.

This must have been the most rushed big back booking in WrestleMania history. Rhea Ripley is a debuting star, she just made her debut, asked for a title shot at WrestleMania 37, and gets it! Are you serious?
If getting a big title shot at WrestleMania so easy, then do they compete in such a difficult match like Royal Rumble? They could simply ask for it. And Rhea Ripley getting the title shot at Mania, nobody minded it. Wrestlers like Peyton Royce or Nikki Cross or maybe Bayley, who had nothing to do in WrestleMania, they don’t even give a damn. This is not only rushed, this is extremely awful booking, plain and simple.
Rhea Ripley got a special live entrance which was pretty entertaining to watch. Even though the backstory booking was poor and rushed, the match was quite good as expected. Both ladies performed really well to keep the fans ignited.
Rhea Ripley had been booked as the stronger force among the two. The finish was a little weak. Rhea pinned Asuka with only one Full Nelson Drop. There should have been at least one kick out on finishers.
We expected to see a good match and the ladies did deliver a good match. Now it will be very interesting to see where this angle heads from this position. Asuka and Rhea Ripley should continue this feud for a while longer, and this time with a better piece of booking for sure.
