WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson recently took on some of the chants made by the WWE Universe to show that they are not happy with what they are getting.

The issue that mostly remains in matches from WWE that they do not deliver anything special to keep the fans entertained enough. One of the most common chants among these has been the ‘Boring’ chant. We do not hear this very often but whenever the ‘boring’ took over the arena, it is immediately understood that something is terribly wrong.

Arn Anderson Talks About The ‘Boring’ Chant in WWE

But why such chants occur? Is it only because of the matches in which the chant breaks in? Or something else is wrong with it? WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson tried to find out the reason behind this. Recently, on his ARN podcast, he talked about the ‘boring’ chants. He gave his theory on how to handle it by saying;

“I’m sure I have [had ‘boring’ chanted during my match before], I’m sure I have. I know what you’re supposed to do. You’re supposed to get up and give them something to wet their beak on. I go the other way. I grab a hold, I sit in it until the chants stop. They don’t control me, I control the match. It’s my baby, I’m running the show here, they’re not.

So, most times it’s just to be a**holes because most wrestling fans… they wanna have a good time. The second you come to the ring, it’s usually you do one thing and they’re already chanting ‘boring’ because they wanna see something else on the card. Not because what’s going on in the ring is not any good or doesn’t fit or is a lousy story or anything like that. They just want you to somehow magically skip to the main event or whatever they paid to see and forget all the other stuff. That’s not the way it works and I just ignore it.”

Anderson’s theory is very much right since these types of chants can seriously destroy the confidence of any supreme wrestler. It is of course, better to ignore these chants.

Wrestling promotions also need to be more focused while booking these matches, there should never be a chant-like this. Fans spend their money to watch the shows, so the bookers should be more careful while booking the matches.
