AB de Villiers with his match winning innings against SunRisers Hyderabad has once again proved that he is one of the best finishers in world cricket. His score of 89* is the third highest individual score in Indian Premier League 2014 so far. We are yet to see a century being scored in IPL so far though Glenn Maxwell, playing for Kings XI Punjab has got 95 twice but couldn’t reach the three figure mark.
Let’s take a look at list of players with highest individual scores in IPL 7 –
| Name | Runs | Balls | 6’s | 4’s | Strike Rate | Opposition | Ground | Match Date |
| Glenn Maxwell (KXIP) | 95 | 43 | 2 | 15 | 220.93 | CSK | Abu Dhabi | 18 April, 2014 |
| Glenn Maxwell (KXIP) | 95 | 43 | 9 | 5 | 220.93 | SRH | Sharjah | 22 April, 2014 |

With IPL back in India, one can expect bigger scores to come by more often. Smaller grounds will be an added advantage as sixes would be hit more easily in IPL to entertain the viewers more.
