Whenever people say that Twenty20 format is best suited for youngsters, one man keeps on reminding the fans that age is just a number even in the shortest form of the game. Credits has to be given to Rajasthan Royals team management and Rahul Dravid for picking the young man from the domestic league of Mumbai.

Rajasthan Royals’ new kid on the bloke Pravin Tambe made headlines with his terrific bowling during the 2013 Karbonn Champions League T20. The 43 year old Mumbai Leggie defies his age time and time again and proves that Passion, Dedication and Hard Work is enough for succeeding in the sport.

In the 2014 IPL, he has been in prime form and was the wrecker-in-chief for the Royals. Playing their first home game against Kolkata Knight Riders at Ahmedabad, Royals set a target of 171 for a victory. When the Knight Riders seemed to cruise along at 120-0 in 13 overs, skipper Shane Watson struck thrice in a single over and pegged things back for KKR.

In the very next over, Tambe created history by becoming the oldest bowler to take a Hat-Trick in Twenty20 cricket. He accounted for the wickets of Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan and Ryan Ten Doeschate en-route his hat trick. Here is what happened

15.1: Tambe to Pandey, wide, Out, Tambe senses that Pandey is advancing down the wicket and fires the ball down the leg side and Sanju Samson took care of the rest.

15.2: Tambe to Pathan, Out, This time it was much fuller and Yusuf Pathan drives it back just to see the bowler taking a simple catch.

15.3: Tambe to ten Doeschate, Out, Tabe tosses the ball up and Tendo came forward to play and gets hit on his toe on the full. The umpire raises his fingers but Tendo looks uncertain about the call.
