The former WWE United States Champion Cesaro recently reacted to the claim that Tommy dreamer made that the Swiss Superman should be the face of the WWE right now. This is of course a huge thing to get such recognition from such legends of wrestling.

The definition of face of the company change in time to time in WWE. At first it was centred around one single person. For example Bruno Sammartino at first, And The Immortal Hulk Hogan after that. Then there were multiple faces at the same time.

Cesaro Answers To Tommy Dreamer’s Claim

For example, Bret Hart and the Undertaker after Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker all at the same time during the attitude era. This trend is still continuing to this day.

As of now, there are multiple faces in the company as well, such as Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley. With the recent bookings that Cesaro is receiving from WWE it seems like WWE is trying to build him as the new face of the company.

The former 7 times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke to SI where he reacted on Tommy Dreamer’s thought. He said;

“I really love what I do and I feel like I represent a lot of people from all over the world. I represent the people who want to be WWE Superstars, the people who want to do things that nobody else has ever done from where they’re from. The people who come over to the United States trying to look for that American dream.

“I feel like I have this special connection with the WWE Universe where for the past nine years, they’ve seen what I’m about rather than me saying what I’m about. So, that’s something that is very hard to describe but I feel like I struck a chord with a lot of people who are watching and that’s upset important, you can’t fake that and you can’t buy that.”
