And here we are, with the first pay per view event of WWE, Money in the Bank after the crowd coming back normally. And the best part of this show was the crowd itself.  Let us go through everything that happened in this event.

WWE Money In The Bank 2021 Results & Ratings

This was a very good match to kick things off for the night. The Usos won their seventh Tag Team Championship on the pre show of the night. The outcome of this match was very much expected. Buffer 12 minute booking time they did a good job. However, the ending of the match was a little bit botched.

Match 2 – Nikki A.S.H defeated Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Natalya, Tamina, Zelina Vega, and Liv Morgan

This was the match of the main show of the night and it was a good match. It was a little bit disappointing to be honest. The match went for long but it could not get to the height. The ending was not that good. Nikki grabbed the briefcase when everyone was busy fighting each other on top of the ladder. This was a little weak booking.

Match 3 – WWE RAW Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos defeated The Viking Raiders To Raiders to retain

Like every other match of AJ Styles and Omos, AJ got rattled by the opponents and Omos manhandled them. The same thing is happening since WrestleMania. The crowd was clearly behind AJ Styles throughout the match, we hope AJ stops jobbing after this. Omos pinned Erik with the two handed chokeslam to retain

Match 4 – WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Kofi Kingston to retain

The match was completely dominated by Bobby Lashley. And lastly I actually needed this victory in this way only. After losing matches back to back, his profile was getting hampered. This dominative victory will help him boost his character more. He defeated Kofi after three Dominators and after locking the Hurt Lock.

Match 5 – WWE RAW Women’s Championship – Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley to become the new champion

This was probably the most unanticipated match of the night. And the outcome honestly, was terrible. There was no point in putting the title around Charlotte’s waist right now. She seriously did not need it. They totally killed the momentum of Rhea Ripley just to overpush Charlotte.

Match 6 – Big E defeated Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, John Morrison, Matt Riddle, and Drew McIntyre

This was indeed the best match of the night. For over twenty minutes time, all the individuals did their best to keep everyone engaged. Ricochet’s performance was really amazing. The reason he was added in this match was the high flying maneuvers. Drew McIntyre was dominating at first but he was by Jinder Mahal as expected. Big E won the match, it was also predictable. But it was a great match nevertheless.

Match 7 – WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Edge to retain

The match was excellent no doubt but they gave it a little bit too much time. They should have give some more time to the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Two feuds instantly started after this match, Edge vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. John Cena, as expected. Both matches are likely to be featured at WrestleMania.

After Roman Reigns pinned Edge with the spear, Seth rollins came out and attacked Edge. They went out of the arena, fighting each other. As Roman Reigns celebrated, John Cena made his return. This must have been the biggest crowd reaction John Cena ever received. He challenged Reigns for the title without saying anything as Money in the Bank 2021 went off air.

Overall it was an average show. It was entertaining of course, but most of the outcomes were extremely predictable. The worst part of the event has to be Charlotte Flair winning the Women’s Championship again. We give it 2.5 stars out of 5. 1 star will be deducted for Charlotte Flair winning the title, 1 star for predictable outcomes and half star for weak Women’s Money in the Bank match booking.
