Former WWE star Matt Martel who is mostly famous for his Tag Team works in the NXT as a member of the famous in NXT tag team Ever Rise recently talked about the injury that age picked up during his match against Randy Orton at Backlash 2020 pay per view event of WWE.

Matt Martel has recently been released from the WWE along with his Tag Team partner Chase Parker and they are currently going by the tag team ring name of 3.0. Both of the individuals are quite young and they look to be having an excellent future lying ahead of themselves.

Matt Martel Recalls The Injury Of Edge

The match between Edge and Randy Orton which was booked in the WWE Backlash pay per view event of 2020 was built as the greatest wrestling match ever. The match was very long, it went on for almost 45 minutes. There were high expectations from this match.

But at the end of the day the match could not be as good as everyone expected it to be. Instead at the end of the match the former eleven time WWE World Champion Edge pickup is serious injury which sidelined him from action for over 6 months.

“It’s funny you bring that up, because so Edge and Randy Orton had that match, like a 45-minute match or whatever, main event of a pay-per-view. I can’t remember which one. I don’t know, so they do the match, 45 minutes long and then they decide match over, high fives, hugs.

“They bring them back out now to get some cinematic shots and that’s how Edge ends up tearing his pec or hurts his shoulder or whatever because you cool down and you don’t stretch and you’re not up and you just worked for 45 minutes and then you gotta go get this one-shot that they didn’t even end up using anyway.”
