Former six times WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks believed SummerSlam this year would be better than Wrestlemania. Banks who defended her SmackDown Women’s title against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 37 will meet Bianca again at SummerSlam in a rematch from WrestleMania 37.

WrestleMania of this year was quite different from all the recent Wrestlemanias because of a number of things. The most important thing of this year’s WrestleMania was no part timers wrestled in this year’s Wrestlemania, which is actually a good thing.

Sasha Banks Has High Hopes From Summerslam

But in SummerSlam, both of the world title matches feature part timers as the challenges for the titles. Goldberg is challenging Bobby Lashley for the WWE championship and John Cena is challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Indeed it looks better on paper than the title matches that were booked on Wrestlemania, but part timers should never be the main attraction of any show.

By this logic, we believe WrestleMania 37 was a better show than SummerSlam. But yes, on paper, SummerSlam looks a better pay per view than WrestleMania 37. It should receive more buy rate as well.

Sasha Banks who is a former six times WWE Women’s Champion recently appeared on Rasslin with Brandon F. Walker where she said that she believed SummerSlam this year would be better than Wrestlemania. She said;

“I actually think that this SummerSlam might be bigger than WrestleMania. It feels like it’s going to be bigger than WrestleMania. I’m counting down the days and it’s really creeping up on me. But I am so ecstatic to be back with fans.

“There’s nothing like their energy. So I think this crowd is going to be bigger attendance than WrestleMania, which already makes me, it’s lights a fire in my heart. But yeah, I’m really looking forward to SummerSlam on August 21. And I cannot wait to be Smackdown Women’s Champion again.”
