This week’s SmackDown started as Corey Graves and Kevin Owens was seen joining Michael Cole on the commentary table since Pat McAfee was tested positive for covid-19. After a long time we get to see a three man panel on the commentary table.
WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Becky Lynch came out in the arena. She said how much she missed the fans and she also said that she was more deadly than before. She then talked about SummerSlam where she defeated Bianca Belair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Bianca Belair came out to the arena. She said whatever happened at Summerslam was an accident. So they should settle the score tonight. Zelina Vega, Carmella and Liv Morgan all came out and demanded title shots. Becky just said “Nah” and left.
Match 1 – Bianca Belair defeated Liv Morgan, Carmella and Zelina Vega in a fatal 4 way elimination match
This was an excellent match. The match was scheduled to determine the number one contender for The Smackdown women’s Championship. Zelina Vega was eliminated first Bianca, Liv Morgan eliminated Carmella next. The finale between Bianca and Liv was really very good. There were “This is Awesome” chants which is very rare in weekly shows nowadays. Bianca at the end pinned Liv with the Kiss of Death.
Match 2 – Cesaro defeated Chad Gable by DQ
The match was short and it was mostly dominated by Cesaro. As he was about to connect the Cesaro Swing, Otis interfered and both wrestlers beat down Cesaro.
Baron Corbin was shockingly seen coming in an expensive car who said that he was filthy rich again and she would like to be addressed as Happy Corbin.
Baron Corbin came out to the arena with a new theme song. He was addressed as Happy Corbin. He said he was really happy. Then he showed a footage into the big screen where it was shown that he had only $35 left after he lost his match against Big E at SummerSlam.
After losing the match, he went to the casinos of Vegas and won a lot of money. That was how he suddenly became rich. He then said he was very happy but there was another thing which would make him happier and he called out Big E.
Big E came out to the arena and entered the ring. Corbin told Big E that he would like to buy his Money in the Bank contract. He offered some prices as Big E said no. His final offer was hundred thousand Dollars. Big E still did not agree and made fun of Corbin.
Corbin said that Big E would cash in the contract and lose and then he would regret. Big E threatened him to beat down. Corbin left the ring. He kept smiling. He did really amazing in his new gimmick.
Match 3 – King Nakamura and Rick Boogs defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
This was a fun tag team match. Rick Boogs is being given a good push and he is doing quite well to be honest. Boogs pinned Ziggler with a Oklahoma Slam.
Match 4 – Sami Zayn defeated Dominik Mysterio
The match was short and it was good. Sami was really good in this match. It looked like a really easy victory for Sami as he pinned Dominik with a Helluva Kick.
The Bloodline came out to the arena for the main event segment of the night which was named as the family celebration. Paul Heyman said the fans finally had the privilege to acknowledge WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns and the Smackdown Tag Team champions The Usos. He said how he defeated John Cena at Summerslam.
Finn Balor came out to the arena. He demanded a title shot since he claimed he was screwed by Cena. And he challenged him next week. He tried to attack Roman as Usos attacked him back. The Street Profits out to help Balor. Together they beat down the Usos as Roman Reigns left. Finn Balor and the Street Profits stood tall as this week’s Smackdown went off air.
Overall it was a damn good show. Everything was quite fun about this week. But we seriously hope there were more of Becky Lynch and neither there were enough mention of Brock Lesnar. Lynch still did not turn heel but soon she will. We hope they put her in a stable. We give this week 3 Stars out of 5.
