Former WWE NXT North American champion Damian priest who is also the current WWE United States champion recently talked about meeting the internationally famous singer and songwriter Bad Bunny for the first time. He also revealed how he taught him to do a dive.
Bad Bunny came to WWE back in January this year. He instantly got involved in a feud with The Miz and John Morrison. The feud continued till WrestleMania 37 where Bunny was first scheduled to face the Miz in a one on one match. Later it was changed to a tag team match where Miz teamed up with John Morrison and Bad Bunny paired with the former WWE NXT North American champion Damian Priest.

The match was quite predictable because every time a celebrity gets involved in a match in WWE, he has always been treated with a victory, specially in Wrestlemania. Bad Bunny was treated no differently. But it must be reminded that he was quite excellent with his performance at Wrestlemania in spite of not being a wrestler. The only other wrestler who shocked the world which is wrestling performance in spite of not being a wrestler was Lawrence Taylor who defeated Bam Bam Bigelow at WrestleMania XI.
Bunny was not impressive in his match but he defeated the Miz and John Morrison as well. He pinned Miz to earn the victory for his side. He was nowhere to be seen in WWE after Wrestlemania. But the growth of Damian Priest continued. Slowly he turned out to be a solid mid card and currently is holding the WWE United States Championship. Hopefully he will become a man event star soon.
Damien priest who is also the current WWE United States champion recently spoke to Superluchas.com where he talked about meeting the internationally famous singer and songwriter Bad Bunny for the first time. He also revealed how he taught him to do a dive. He said;
“I met him, the day of the Royal Rumble 2021, and we got along well from the first moment. We talked, we made jokes, and we quickly entered the ring and I taught him some things. That same day of the Royal Rumble, a producer gave the idea of Bad Bunny throwing himself over Miz and Morrison.
“I went and told him if he dared to do that. He said, “Well, if I can practice it, let’s do it.” And I taught him to jump from the corner with another Superstar; it looks easy but it’s not. In fact, I was the first to receive him on the air.
“He jumped on me, and did it just once and said, ‘Okay, I can do it, I felt comfortable.’ If they told me to jump from the top rope to the floor like he did, I would say, ‘And how many are going to receive me?’ Only two guys, like with Bad Bunny? I would have said no.”
