The current WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns who is also a 5 times world champion in WWE recently revealed that it does not consider the All Elite Wrestling as a competition to WWE. He also said that the hardcore fan base of WWE is a glass ceiling for them who would always protect them.
Roman Reigns might not be considering AEW as a competition of WWE right now but it is far from the truth. Indeed the newly founded promotion is a huge competition for WWE right now, and in many cases, it is doing better than WWE.

Roman Reigns Does Not Consider AEW As A Competition, Praises Hardcore Fan Base
They have had a very good roster, they have some of the biggest names in the sports entertainment right now like CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. These guys definitely represent the promotion and a lot of fans consider CM Punk as a bigger face than Roman Reigns, who is the current face of the WWE.
It is quite clear that the newly founded promotion will get stronger with time. It is already quite strong and at least it is trying to get some success. They are considering on good story lines, good booking ideas, and of course the roster is amazing. On the other hand WWE definitely has an excellent roster. Without any doubt their roster is way better than AEW. But the only thing they are failing against their competition is to booking good matches and storylines.

For quite a long time WWE is feeling to write some good stories, and there is no improvement in the world of storylines in WWE in quite a long time. Even the recent story lines are so boring they can never attract new fans. So WWE should not consider their fans as a liability.
Thousands of fans have turned their faces from WWE because of the Boring presentation day after day. This cannot continue for long, WWE has to book good matches and good story lines to stay in competition with AEW.
Roman Reigns who is also a 5 times world champion in WWE recently spoke with Mike DeStefano from Complex where he revealed that it does not consider the All Elite Wrestling as a competition to WWE. He also said that the hardcore fan base of WWE is a glass ceiling for them who would always protect them. He said;

“No. I mean, not for me personally. This is one of those subjects that’s very subjective and there’s a lot of passion and tribalism that really sways and creates an unbiased opinion. But I can only speak from my perspective.
“I’m one of those guys who will compete at anything. Like, ‘I bet you I can eat that cookie faster.’ I want to be the best at anything that I choose to do. We pull up on lawn mowers, we cut the yard in half, I’m going to beat you.
“My side will look better than yours. So me, I don’t see the real competition [with AEW] because I think their fan base legitimately is a hardcore fan base. So there’s like a ceiling and a built-in ground to that viewership.”
