Former WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Kevin Owens is on the brink of turning heel as it stands right now. He made his debut in WWE as a heel and he played his heel role for most of the time period in his career.
Babyface Kevin Owens was something that most of the fans wanted to see. He had been an excellent babyface in the Ring of Honor where he went by the name of Kevin Steen. He was more of the Stone Cold Steve Austin of Ring of Honor. Everybody wanted to see a similar gimmick of him in WWE as well.

WWE RAW – Kevin Owens To Turn Heel – Analysis
He did turn babyface but WWE failed to utilise his excellent babyface gimmick. He was mostly presented as a mid card. He did get some World Championship opportunities, like his back to back WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship matches against Roman Reigns last year and earlier this year. But he lost all of both matches.
So we can consider the baby face run of Kevin Owens as a failure. It was completely unnecessary except of the fact fans wanted to see it. But the expectations were only half granted. Owens got most of his achievements while being a heel.

The funny part is, he could not win any Championship after turning babyface. But while he was a heel, he won the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship, WWE Intercontinental Championship WWE United States Championship multiple times.
So this heel turn would be really necessary to get him back on track once again. But it has not been confirmed yet if he would turn heel. However all the circumstances are indicating towards a possible heel turn of the former WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion.
Last week, Owens got a match against the WWE champion Big E. At the end of the match, Seth Rollins hit Big E from outside. Owens tried to cash the opportunity by pinning him in spite of knowing the fact that Rollins hit him from outside. Big E countered the pin into another pin and defeated Owens. After the match, Owens apologized to E but E did not accept his apology and hit him with a Big Ending.

A lot of fans believe that the match should have won by Owens. But it is good to see that once again Owens is getting main event booking. Hopefully he would be treated better on RAW than he was treated on SmackDown.
This week he faced Seth Rollins which he lost via count out. And after the match he turned on Big E and beat him down. This is quite possibly a heel turn for Owens and it was really needed. And if he turns heel he must win the WWE championship at least one time. as a babyface WWE could not utilise him at all. But we hope he would be better utilised as a heel as he was before.
