WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett who is also a former four times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently talked about AJ Styles being the face of TNA and he also revealed who discovered him.
AJ Styles was one of the fewest wrestlers that was created by TNA Wrestling. There was another name that TNA Wrestling made world famous and that is Samoa Joe. Unfortunately in their nearly twenty years of existence, these are the only two wrestlers they were able to create. Of course we have created some other names but AJ and Samoa Joe are the only two wrestlers who could main event any stage.

Jeff Jarrett On AJ Styles Being The Face Of TNA
What most people do not know that AJ Styles worked in both WWE and WCW before started working in TNA Wrestling. But he was mostly treated as a jobber. He had been treated as a main event star from the very first day of joining TNA Wrestling. Only after one year of the debut of TNA, AJ styles won the NWA World Heavyweight championship for the first time in his career. A lot of Championship Reigns came after that for him in TNA.

In 2016 he returned to WWE, but this time he was signed as a bigger deal. His amazing in ring work and huge popularity among the fans could not prevent the WWE officials just to keep him as a mid card. He had to be lifted as a main event star. So far he has won two World championships in WWE along with many other championships. Surely he has a long way to go.
Jeff Jarrett who is also a former four times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently spoke with Lucha Libre Online where he talked about AJ Styles being the face of TNA and he also revealed who discovered him. He said;

“I think it depends on the era and the definition of ‘true discovery,’ because Bill Behrens was AJ’s first promoter — who to this day is his agent, business advisor, manager, whatever the title may give you. But Bill — to Wildside Wrestling (NWA Wildside) and you know, AJ was around WCW for just a couple of shows, and then North Georgia independents, and then my father heard about him and he saw him and then obviously I saw him. Jeremy Borash had seen him.
“There were different folks in the early days of TNA but you know, when AJ…those three months before TNA started, getting the ability to see AJ and his first night, being crowned the X-Division Champion, he truly was an alternative, but also a face of the brand from day one.”
