WWE Crown Jewel – Edge On His Experience On Working In Saudi Arabia

The event only took one time where WWE booked the first ever fifty man Royal Rumble match which was won by Braun Strowman. The next event took place after a number of ones and that was WWE Crown Jewel 2018 where the Mary when was a dream match between D Generation X and the Brothers of Destruction.

WWE has always tried to deliver dream matches through these Saudi Arabian pay per view events. their were dream matches as well as some big matches on paper too, like the Undertaker vs Triple H, this might not be a dream match since it took place so many times before, but it is a huge match and definitely it will sell tickets every time it gets booked. And there are dream matches as well, like the Undertaker vs Goldberg, it could never be a good match but it was definitely a dream match.

This year WWE did not focus on dream matches neither they tried to bring back legends or part timers, only if we do not consider Brock Lesnar as a part timer. This year WWE mostly focused on quality matches, and we can definitely consider the Crown Jewel 2021 as one of the best events took place in Saudi Arabia so far. And the match between Edge and Seth Rollins which took place inside Hell in a Cell was indeed the best match of the night.

Edge who is also a former eleven times WWE World Champion recently spoke to Kids On The Escalator where he talked about his experience on working at Saudi Arabia in the Crown Jewel pay per view event where he wrestled Seth Rollins in Hell in a Cell match. He said;

“When they asked me about blowing off the story in Saudi Arabia, I wasn’t too keen on going, I’ll be honest, but as we talked and they said ‘we need it there,’ I said, ‘Lets get Jess to ref there,’ not knowing if we’d be able to. I just loved the idea of a woman being in control of two men in that country.

“If it flew over a lot of heads, whatever, but for me, I can come back to my girls one day and tell them ‘I went over there.’ I think we did something cool. She was right there for everything, not overwhelmed by the moment, and stood up to the challenge. It was really cool to see.”
