Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who is actively promoting his upcoming biopic ‘Azhar’ moved out during an interview when asked about match fixing. After that, he refused to return that place. According to sources, Azharuddin did that during a promotion of ‘Azhar’ which stars Emraan Hashmi in the title role along with Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri, is all set to hit the theatres this Friday.
Before this incident happened, Azhar told that throughout his playing career, he found former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram to be the toughest bowler he has ever faced. “It’s very hard for me to say who’s the best bowler, but I found Courtney Walsh very difficult to read, he was the hardest bowler to read. If you ask me the best bowler then Wasim Akram was the best bowler because he had a lot of variety. Even when you were batting on 100 or 150, you’re not very sure… He could still get you out. That was his forte. That was the best thing about Wasim Akram. He is probably the toughest bowler I have faced,” he said.
The promotions of the movie ‘Azhar’ are on in full swing and the star cast of the movie are trying various ways to attract the audience to watch the movie. Recently, the leading actor of the movie Emraan Hashmi, along with the producers, has launched a campaign called ‘#AzharAnthem’. This campaign is a way to interact with the audience through the means of sending their personalised videos or photos playing cricket using the hashtag #AzharAnthem.
Actor Emraan Hashmi tweeted about the same on his social media that mentioned, “Here’s your chance to be a part of #AzharAnthem. All you have to do is send in your photos or clips playing cricket.”
