Professional wrestling Legend and the WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield aka JBL who is a former WWE World Champion recently reimagined his Cabinet stable featuring WWE stars from the recent days. He named the wrestlers he would like to feature in the Cabinet stable if he would relaunch the stable.
The Cabinet was a WWE stable from 2004-2005 led by the then WWE World champion John Bradshaw Layfield. The other members of the stables were Orlando Jordan, The Basham Brothers and Amy Weber. The stable was made to make JBL more Supreme as a millionaire WWE champion. A stable behind any champion makes him/her look more superior than normal.
JBL Reimagines The Cabinet Stables With Current WWE Stars
The idea of the stable was good but it received poorly. Of course the stable did the job it was intended to do; it made JBL look really superior over The other wrestlers on SmackDown back in the time. But with time, fans forgot about the stable totally. It has never been mentioned much either.
One of the prime reasons behind it has to be the other members of the stable. Even though Orlando Jordan had been a former WWE United States champion and the Basham Brothers had been a two times WWE Tag Team Champion, but with time fans forgot them totally.
Another reason behind the failure of the Cabinet is because of its similarity with the Million Dollar Corporation led by the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. These two stables were quite similar to each other, the gimmicks and the supporting wrestlers were also quite same. Fans always said that the Cabinet is nothing but a reboot of the famous Million Dollar Corporation stable.
John Bradshaw Layfield aka JBL who is a former WWE World Champion recently spoke on “Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw” podcast where he reimagined his Cabinet stable featuring WWE stars from the recent days. He said;
“I want you to understand that when you put a Cabinet together for groups, normally you’re trying to build people. So some of these people are already main event people. Take that for granted. I’m just talking if I had my choices.
“So first of all, you need a coordinator to do everything like Amy Weber was. That would be Sonya Deville, no doubt about it. She’s incredibly talented. She is very articulate. She can talk. That’s what you need for that role. I think Sonya Deville would be fantastic in that role.”
“You need someone that’s your enforcers. “I love Chad Gable and Otis. I think Chad Gable is incredibly entertaining. A close second would be Shelton Benjamin, mainly because I love Shelton Benjamin, and I think Shelton Benjamin is one of the most talented guys that I’ve ever, ever been around. He and Cedric (Alexander), I would just have to put them all in. Put Shelton and Cedric in there, Otis and Chad, because I think that team is fantastic.”
“Then you need the hand, for lack of a better term, the right hand guy. Damian Priest, without a doubt in my mind. That guy has a look that you couldn’t replicate in a hundred creative meetings. It’s that good. He’s a good looking guy. He can talk. He can work. I think he would be perfect for The Cabinet. So, there’s my Cabinet.”
