Tommy Dreamer Looks Back At The Original Plans For Katie Vick Storyline
During this feud an angle appeared where it was revealed that Kane had a girlfriend called Katie Vick who died during the progress of the storyline. Triple H wore a Kane Mask and had intercourse with the Corpse of Katie Vick. Needless to say it was all kayfabe and there is no such character Katie Vick in real life.
This angle was quite obviously extremely controversial and it has been labelled as one of the watch storylines in the history of WWE. As soon as the angle started to appear on television, critics bashed WWE for bringing such a controversial angle into television. WWE had no other choice but to drop the angle. The feud between Triple H and Kane continued till the No Mercy pay per view event of the year and quickly dropped after that as well.

Earlier it was revealed by Bruce Prichard that the storyline of Katie Vick was supposed to lead till WrestleMania XIX. It would have been revealed that Katie Vick was the sister of former WCW star The Sickboy Scott Vick and he was supposed to face Triple H at WrestleMania XIX to avenge her sister. Scott Vick was under contract with WWE in that time.
But with all the controversies struck, WWE not only decided to drop the feud but released Scott Vick as well. To this date, the Katie Vick angle remained one of the worst storylines in the history of professional wrestling.
Tommy Dreamer who is also a former seventeen times WWE Hardcore Champion recently spoke on an episode of the House of Hardcore podcast recalled the infamous Katie Vick storyline of WWE. He talked about the original plans for the angle of this storyline. He said;

“The whole Katie Vick narcolepsy angle, that all came about through Vince, and the payoff of all of that was going to be Sick Boy, Scott Vick, was going to wrestle Triple H at WrestleMania to avenge his sister, who was dead.”
“That all came about when Sick Boy, Scott Vick, had a dark match tryout and Vince liked the name, Scott Vick, because they couldn’t call him Sick Boy. This horrible angle with Kane and Triple H was going to be the caveat to headlining WrestleMania with Scott Vick avenging his sister, Katie Vick. I remember Johnny (John Laurinaitis) having to tell Vince, ‘That’s great but he’s not employed here.’ It was just a tryout.”
