IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad congratulated David Warner on the Ashes win and also wished the left-hander to have a good IPL auction in a bantering exchange on Twitter.
Notable that David Warner was sacked from Sunrisers Hyderabad captaincy midway of the last IPL season and he played only 8 games (out of 14) in the season. The franchise decided not to retain him before the mega auction.

On Tuesday a banter exchanged between the two exposed the bitterness in their relations.
It all started with a fan’s tweet when the user asked Tom Moody (Director of Cricket for SRH) to have a good IPL auction for SRH.
“How about having a good auction for SRH tom? Please?”- replied @Rag_V7 to Tom Moody

For which, Tom Moody replied that they would try their best. But David Warner jumped in the conversation as he quoted @RagV_7’s tweet with the caption “Baha doubt it”

So the Sunrisers Hyderabad came out in support of their ‘Director of Cricket’. SRH quoted Warner’s tweet with the caption- “Congrats on the Ashes win Davey – Looks like you are back to form and enjoying the after-party! On the other hand, we hope you have a good auction!”

Notable that Surisers Hyderabad won their maiden IPL title under the leadership of David Warner in 2016 when they beat RCB in the final. However recent social media interaction by Warner showed the bitterness between their relations.
Ahead of the mega auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad decided to retain Kane Williamson alongside a couple of Indian uncapped players- Abdul Samad and Umran Malik. They will have 68 crores left in the purse to spend in the auction.
On the other side, there are some reports that the Ahmedabad franchise might sign David Warner ahead of the auction.
Meanwhile, David Warner had a great couple of months as the left-hander was chosen Player of the Tournament as Australia won their maiden ICC Men’s T20 World title last month. And in the Ashes, he already scored a couple of 90s as Australia took the 3-0 lead with two matches to go.
The 4th match of the series will begin on January 5 in Sydney.
