Inter Milan offered Alexis Sanchez to Everton

Former Arsenal and Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez has been offered a chance to return to the Premier League with Everton. Inter Milan are desperate to sell the 33-year-old Chilean international, who is on high wages at San Siro.

According to a report from the Sun, Inter have offered Sanchez on a free transfer this month and Everton are looking to explore this opportunity. Sanchez has plenty of Premier League experience with Arsenal and Manchester United and this could be his last chance to play for a big club as he is approaching his career-ending stage.

Sanchez arrived at Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014 and was an instant hit at Emirates, where is scored 60 goals in just 122 appearances. But his move to Manchester United in 2018 was a disaster as the forward scored just 3 goals in 32 appearances at Old Trafford.

Sanchez then arrived at Inter on an initial loan deal which was made permanent in the summer of 2020. He is struggling at San Siro with fitness and form and recently lost his place in the squad as well. Sanchez has scored just 9 goals in 42 appearances in Italy and is expected to end this journey this month with an imminent exit.

Everton And Barcelona, Two Probable Destination For Alexis Sanchez:

Barcelona are also linked with their former star as they are struggling to field a possible eleven due to the injuries and the Covid-19 outbreak. Barcelona lost Sergio Aguero last month after he was diagnosed with heart disease which forced him to retire.

Memphis Depay and Ansu Fati are struggling with injuries, and Ousmane Dembele is set to exit after failing to extend his contract this month. Barcelona have already signed Ferran Torres from Manchester City for a reported fee of £54 million and loaned out Phillipe Coutinho to Aston Villa yesterday.

Singing Alexis Sanchez will be beneficial for the Catalan giants as he brings a proven La Liga experience and provides more competition in the attack. Money will be a big factor for Xavi, but the possible departure of Ousmane Dembele ease down their financial burdens to sign Sanchez.

Everton manager Rafael Benitz have recently secured two defensive signings of Nathan Patterson and Vitaliy Mykolenko and looking to add one forward player to compete in the top-ten race. There are reports of Everton struggling with Financial Fair Play rules and due to that, they have to sell either one of Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison.

Toffees are planning to sign either Sanchez or Valentin ‘Taty’ Castellanos if either of their stars forward leaves this month. The 23-year-old Castellanos seems to be a better choice than ageing Sanchez but he will cost more than £15 million. Last season, the Argentine forward topped MLS charts with 22 goals for New York City FC and is expected to move to a European club in the summer.
