Arsenal suffered a big blow on Friday morning after reports of Juventus closing on Dusan Vlahovic with player plus cash deal emerged. Arsenal have been chasing Fiorentina striker for a while now and last week Italian media reported Gunners set to sign Serbian star for a transfer fee of £62 million. But now out of nowhere, Serie A giants Juventus are favorites to sign Vlahovic this month.
The 21-year-old Serbian striker has established himself as one of the best forwards in Europe and has been leading the Serie A goal-scoring charts this season. Vhahovic has 18 months remaining on his contract and Fiorentina are looking to take advantage of this situation by offloading the player to raise funds for the summer shopping. Vlahovic has scored 20 goals in 24 appearances this season and has also been scoring consistently for his national team.

Arsenal are in the market for a new striker after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s breach in the club’s disciplinary rules, which cost him captaincy role and first-team place. He is currently transfer-listed at Emirates Stadium alongside Alexandre Lacazette who has entered in his last 6 months of the contract. The Gunners have identified Vlahovic as a long-term striker and are ready to meet his asking price this month.
Juventus Are Favorites But Arsenal To Make Vlahovic Highest-Earning Player In Premier League:
It has been reported that Fiorentina have accepted Arsenal’s latest offer but the player is stalling the Gunners before entering into contract negotiations. Vlahovic is not sure about joining the Gunners due to the lack of Champions League football at North London lately. But Arsenal are favorites to finish in the top-four position this season but on top of that, they have drawn up a £302, 000-a-week contract offer, which will make Vlavhovic the highest-earning player in the league, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
But according to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have made a £30 million-plus Dejan Kulusevski offer for Vhahovic but Fiorentina haven’t’s accepted this proposal. Fiorentina are looking to coup up more than £50 million paid in full for the services of their star striker and still hoping for the player to accept the Arsenal deal this month.

Juventus are struggling in Serie A with just 41 points from 22 matches this season. Old Lady sit in 5th position in the league table, 1 point behind 4th placed Atalanata but have played a game more. Both Alvaro Morata and Moise Kean are failing to score consistently this season and the former is strongly linked with Barcelona move this month. If Morata does join the La Liga giants in the next ten days then Juventus will definitely improve their transfer offer for Vlahovic but now it is up to the player to decide on his future in the next ten days.
