The original concept of the Royal Rumble match was actually tabled by WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson and it has been a regular pay per view event of WWE since 1988. This year WWE is going to organise the 35th official Royal Rumble pay per view event.

From 2017, WWE is organising women’s Royal Rumble as well which is equally entertaining as the men’s Royal Rumble match. This year WWE will organise the women’s Royal Rumble match for the fifth time in the history.

Some of the participants for the Women’s Royal Rumble match have already been announced which include the current stars as well as some legends of WWE including the Impact Knockouts champion Mickie James. This is the first time WWE is working with Impact Wrestling and mentioned the name of the promotion on screen for the first time also.

Normally WWE keep their legend and return entrances surprise, but this year WWE announced a lot of them already including the likes of Lita, Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, the Bella Twins and also some other names including Summer Rae.

This is the first time WWE announced so many names at once in case of the women’s Royal Rumble match. They could have easily kept them secret but why they announced it all, it is still a mystery.

“Okay, so obviously I can’t sleep. I’ve been on Twitter and I am so overwhelmed by the amazing response on Twitter by you guys. Oh my gosh, like, we weren’t even supposed to announce that I was going to be in the Rumble, it was going to be a surprise and then, I found out a couple of hours ago. So I was really nervous to look on Twitter, because people are mean, like, people just be mean on Twitter and the response — everyone was so nice.”

“You guys have me in my feels. Everyone’s so hyped. I don’t know, I’ve just been gone so long that I didn’t know what the response would be like, I didn’t know if it’d be positive or negative and it’s just so good. Thank you so much. All my friends are being so supportive and just the fans like, WrestleTwitter’s just insane, and I’m just so excited, and now I’m happy that I don’t have to keep this a surprise until the end of the month.”
