Bobby Lashley has earned the right to face Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble this year and this is going to be for the WWE championship that is being held by Lesnar at this moment. This match is being planned for WrestleMania 38 according to a lot of reports but WWE is organizing this match early.
Bobby Lashley Describes What Can Be Expected From His Royal Rumble Match
This match is nothing less than a dream match. Fans are rooting to see this match from a very long time and it is finally happening. But it has been a question if Royal Rumble is the best age for this match since it was a legit dream match and it can definitely sell tickets.
One of the biggest reason behind such a theory is the Royal Rumble match itself which is a huge selling point. Royal Rumble match does not need any other big match to sell tickets since the Bumble mat itself is enough any arena to go sold out.
Lashley had been the WWE champion for most part of last year. He remained champion for over five months, he even Walked in as the WWE champion at WrestleMania 37. But he dropped the title to Big E in September and after that he could never win the Championship back. Of course he got his chances but he failed to capitalize.
He finally got the opportunity to face the WWE champion Brock Lesnar after he won the fatal 4 way match that was organised recently on Monday Night RAW which also included Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Big E. He won this match to earn his right. We can definitely expect an excellent match at Royal Rumble between these two powerhouses.

He explained what fans can expect from this match. He said;
“It’s one of those fun matchups that people want to see. It’s not going to be just a pro wrestling match because we have all these. I think people want to see the wrestling. They want to see us just wrestle and see who gets the most takedowns, and who’s going to get the first takedown.
“Then they want to see who can fight if this thing breaks down into a fight. Who’s going to win a fight between Brock and I? A lot of people talked about that, and now in pro wrestling, I think we have to give them a little bit of everything in this match, and I think that’s what’s going to happen.
“It’s not going to just be a tie up and shoulder tackle that two big men would do. Me and Brock have so much more than that. I think we might try to fight for that first takedown to see who gets it and then we can go from there. I think there’s a lot of things that we can play with.”
