This week’s RAW started as footage from Royal Rumble was shown where Brock Lesnar dropped the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns cost him the Championship. Later he entered the Royal Rumble match to win the whole thing.
The show started as Adam Pearce was seen standing inside the arena. He informed that the WWE Championship will be defended inside the Elimination Chamber at the Elimination Chamber pay per view event.
WWE RAW 31.01.2022 Results & Ratings
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley came out to the arena along with MVP. MVP said that he had already won the WWE championship at Royal Rumble and him depending the title inside Elimination Chamber is not fair. Lashley claimed himself to be a better wrestler than Brock Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar came out to the arena. He said that Lashley should not take pride of whatever happened last night at Royal Rumble. He won the title because of Roman Reigns. He also announced that at WrestleMania he would challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship. But at WrestleMania the match will be title vs title.
Lesnar challenged Lashley in a match instantly, he kept on provoking him so that he accept his challenge. But Lashley refused to face him and said there will be no WWE championship match tonight. Adam Pearce announced that at elimination chamber one of the five challengers for Lashley will be Brock Lesnar.
Match 1 – Rhea Ripley defeated Nikki ASH
This match was booked for 5 minutes and it was mostly dominated by Rhea Ripley. Of course Nikki had had her offences but at the end she gave up as Rhea pinned her with the Riptide.
Match 2 – The Miz defeated Dominik Mysterio
This match was short and it was only book for two minutes, even though it was quite entertaining because of the heel works of the Miz. Miz defeated Dominik Mysterio with the Skull Crushing Finale.
Next up is the KO show featuring the host Kevin Owens. The special guest of the night was Seth Rollins. They talked about Seth’s Universal championship match against Roman Reigns. Seth also announced that he would be entering the Elimination Chamber match to challenge for the WWE championship. That means his feud for the Universal title is over.
Match 3 – Austin Theory defeated Kevin Owens
It was an Elimination Chamber qualifying match it was very good match. The overall booking time was near about eight minutes and Owens dominated the most part of the match. Theory pinned Owens with the ATL.
Match 4 – Angelo Dawkins defeated Dolph Ziggler
The match was booked for nearly five minutes and just like the WWE fashion, the loser of the match dominated the first half. The match might have been shot but it was quite entertaining. Dawkins won the match by pinfall.
Meanwhile a scooter race was going on between Riddle and Chad Gable throughout the night. Riddle was about to win before he was stopped by Otis and Chad Gable won the competition.
Match 5 – Riddle defeated Otis
This match was announced to be a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber. It was booked for 6 minutes and it was mostly dominated by Otis, as usual. But Riddle at the end pinned Otis with a sudden pin.
Match 6 – Bianca Belair defeated Carmella
This match was booked for five minutes and it was a boring match. It was even, nobody particularly dominated the match. Bianca Belair at the end pinned Carmella with the KOD.
Match 7 – AJ Styles defeated Rey Mysterio
This was the last Elimination Chamber qualifying match and what a match it was. Indeed it was the best match of the night, but we must say these two individuals are capable of delivering better matches. AJ pinned Rey with a Styles Clash.
Next up is the return of Ronda Rousey to Monday night RAW. She said she could not decide whom she would like to face at WrestleMania 38. Becky Lynch made interference and claimed that she was the only one who could beat her. Rosey said that she had to wait till Friday to get to know who she would challenge at Wrestlemania and she left the arena.
After Ronda Rosey left, Lita came out and made a challenge to Becky Lynch at the elimination chamber pay per view event for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Becky did not want to accept it at first but she finally accepted it. Both woman stood tall inside the ring this week’s RAW went off air.
The show was not bad but a lot of things were missing from this week’s RAW. It could seem boring after a while because of the weak matches. Of course AJ Styles vs Rey Mysterio was a great match. The appearances of Ronda Rousey and Lita felt really good as well. We give it 2 stars out of 5.
