Diego Godin’s yet another header from a well taken corner has earned Atletico a well deserved lead at half time afainst Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League in Lisbon. A cagey affair has seen Diego Simeone’s play brutal yet effective football to shoot and stifle down Real for much of the parts in the second half. Diego Costa was risked for the huge clash but was taken off just after 7 minutes which had Gary Cahill saying on Sky, “You can’t recover from a hamstring in just seven days.”

Much the pattern in the first half
