The current WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair who is a twelve times WWE Women’s Champion recently talked about a potential showdown with the Queen’s Crown tournament winner Zelina Vega. She said that she does not need a Crown to be addressed as the Queen.
Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest names in the WWE today and there is no doubt in the fact she is one of the most successful female wrestlers of WWE. She is working in the promotion for over nine years and in this time period it is nearly impossible to win so many major Championships, and surely there are many more to come. She is being addressed as the Queen of the WWE since the very first day of joining the main roster.
Charlotte Flair On A Potential Match With Zelina Vega
But a new queen has arrived in WWE, and that Queen is Zelina Vega. When she joined WWE she was mostly portrayed as the valet of Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas. After the release of Andrade, she started working as a wrestler. When she started her wrestling career she was mostly portrayed as a jobber, suddenly she got a big push, and the push came out of nowhere.
She won the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament recently and also won the women’s Tag Team Championship along with Carmella. Since participating on the Queen’s Crown tournament, she is undefeated in WWE.
So a matchup between the two queens of WWE would be quite interesting to see. But inter promotional matches are not very common to see in WWE these days, and it is good for the promotion as well. So it does not seems to be happening very soon, at least not before WrestleMania where inter promotional matches are quite possible.
But Charlotte does not seem to be dropping her SmackDown Women’s Championship before Wrestlemania, and since Zelina just got drafted to RAW, there is a fat chance of her moving to SmackDown at this stage. So indeed it could have been an excellent match, but there is a very fat chance of it happening right now.
Charlotte Flair who is a twelve times WWE Women’s Champion recently spoke to Metro where she talked about a potential showdown with the Queen’s Crown tournament winner Zelina Vega. She said that she does not need a Crown to be addressed as the Queen. She said;
“I don’t think I need to fight over a crown, sorry. I don’t think I need a crown to be called the Queen. I am the Queen. It’s silly to me. [laughs] No offense!
“I mean, maybe facing Zelina, but to have a match focused around Queen versus Queen? Like, I’m the Queen of them all – without a throne. I don’t see that as – she has a long way to go before that becomes her… I don’t know how you say it? I always wear my invisible crown.”
