Professional wrestling Legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently talked about the ratings of AEW Dynamite after the much awaited MJF vs. CM Punk match.
The viewership of AEW Dynamite is barely crossing 1 million. But on the episode in which MJF and CM Punk faced each other, it could not even cross 1 million viewership. And it was down from the previous week which had a viewership of 1.1 million. It is not a very good outcome for the new professional wrestling promotion.

Booker T On CM Punk Vs. MJF Could Not Draw Big Ratings For AEW Dynamite
About the ratings, they drew a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was also down from the previous week’s 0.41. MJF vs. CM Punk was a huge head line and it was a great match as well, as expected. But even such a huge match could not draw enough ratings or viewership. Something is definitely wrong.
AEW is in existence for over three years now, it has definitely become a huge threat for WWE but it is still failing to beat the promotion in ratings and viewership. It has shown in a potential to be the tops promotion in professional wrestling one day. But there is a huge question if they are ready yet.

The promotion is trying really hard. They have managed to sign some of the biggest names in professional wrestling today including the likes of Bryan Danielson and CM Punk, definitely there are more big names. They are producing better matches, better shows every week and of course better storylines.
But still they are failing to compete with WWE, in spite of the fact WWE is not producing enough good matches neither any good storylines. Shows are comparatively weak as well. WWE definitely has the time to stop the growing popularity of AEW. The new promotion might have been weak right now, but if they keep on producing such good matches and shows, one day they will definitely beat WWE.
Booker T who is a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently spoke on his Reality of Wrestling YouTube show where he talked about the ratings of AEW Dynamite after the much awaited MJF vs. CM Punk match. He said;

“They (AEW) have a long way to go. AEW definitely has something. They have a good feel. The fans definitely seem like they are into it. But when you look into the audience, you don’t see any kids at all, and you don’t see a whole lot of women. Just look in the audience.
“So they have a lot of building they are going to have to do in order to be able to stretch that audience out and really be able to cater to everybody, not just the people that want to watch a thumbtack match (he laughs), or somebody just jumping off something. They are definitely going to have to widen their appeal.”
