This week’s SmackDown started as footage from last week was shown where Ronda Rousey challenged Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38. And at the end, she also beat down Sonya Deville.
Sonya Deville was seen standing inside the ring. She said that she would fine Ronda Rousey a sum of $100,000 for her actions last week, and she would be suspended indefinitely as well. She said that she made this plea to the upper management.
WWE SmackDown 12.02.2022 Results & Ratings
Adam Pearce came out and said that Mr. McMahon himself responded to his request and he said her plea would not be accepted. In fact, if she kept on abusing her authority powers she would have to face consequences. It was also reminded that she kept on harrassing Naomi, and if she kept on doing it she would be punished.
Match 1 – Los Lotharios defeated The New Day
Once again WWE would be trying to push Los Lotharios. The previous try failed miserably, hope this one works. About the match it was booked for nearly eight minutes. Angel pinned Kofi with a rollup for the win.
Match 2 – Natalya defeated Aliyah by submission
This match was booked last week where there would be no DQ or count out. It was booked for around three minutes and Natalya made Aliyah submit with the Sharpshooter. After the match, she attempted to beat down Aliyah but Xia Li came out and saved Aliyah.
Next up was a backstage segment where WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns gave an interview on his match against Goldberg where he said that he did not care about him.
Next up was the In Zayn segment with Sami Zayn being the host of the show. Shinsuke Nakamura and Ricks Boogs were the special guests. The discussion was more about Johnny Knoxville than their title match next week. At the end Sami tricked them and Beat them down.
Match 3 – Happy Corbin defeated Cesaro
This match was booked for 5 minutes and Cesaro literally jobbed in this match. We still do not understand why Cesaro became such a terrible jobber. Corbin pinned Cesaro with the End of Days.
Backstage Goldberg was interviewed by Michael Cole where he said that he would win the WWE Universal Heavyweight Vhampionship for the third time in his career at the Elimination Chamber pay per view event.
Match 4 – WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Charlotte Flair defeated Naomi to retain
This was one of the best matches SmackDown in the recent episodes. The match was booked for 15 minutes and what an amazing match it was! From top to bottom it was thoroughly entertaining. Charlotte pinned Naomi with the Natural Selection. After the match, Sonya Deville came out and started beating down Naomi. Ronda Rousey appeared and she be down both Charlotte and Sonya. Ronda Rousey and Naomi stood tall inside the ring this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall, there was nothing special about this episode except the main event between Charlotte Flair and Naomi. It was the biggest plus point about this event. Except of that there is nothing much, just pre taped footages to kill time. We give it 2 stars out 5 and that is all because of the excellent main event.
