Interestingly he will share the dressing room with Krunal Pandya who was also bought for 8.25 Crores.

Notable that Hooda was suspended for a season after a spat with Krunal Pandya playing for Baroda in domestic cricket. Hooda left Baroda after that season and joined Rajasthan. According to reports, Krunal Pandya abused him in front of teammates.

But within a year IPL again reunited them for Lucknow Super Giants. Krunal Pandya was previously associated with Mumbai Indians while Hooda played for Punjab Kings in the last season. Over the years, Hooda represented Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad however he hasn’t had any breakthrough season as yet.

On the first day of the auction, Lucknow Super Giants made lots of moves as they bought a total of 8 players. Earlier they picked KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi ahead of the auction.

Apart from Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda, they also picked Avesh Khan at a price of 10 Crores. They also got some good overseas picks in form of Mark Wood, Quinton de Kock, and Jason Holder. Apart from that they also bought Manish Pandey at a price of 4.60 Crores.

They also got Ankit Rajpoot at a price of 50 Lakhs. Currently, they have INR 6.90 crores available in their purse. It will be interesting to see how they fill the remaining slots.
