WWE 24/7 championship came into existence back in 2019 and everybody thought it is going to be replacement of the legendary WWE Hardcore Championship. The concept is quite similar, only except the Hardcore matches….. and of course the fun part of the Hardcore title.
When the WWE 24/7 Championship came into existence it was one of the most entertaining parts of WWE. But slowly the title became quite irrelevant and WWE started to overlook the title. As if WWE is being forced to book the Championship and they do not want to do it.
Why WWE Needs To Book 24/7 Championship More Frequently
In only two and half year time, WWE has already crowned fifty three different champions including the reign of the Revival. The Hardcore Championship was one of the most entertaining parts of the Attitude Era. So was the 24/7 Championship, but unfortunately, it is not anymore.
But why is it so difficult to book a Championship with such an easy concept? We can understand WWE failing to book most of their championships properly except the world titles only. But the 24/7 title should not be a big deal to book every week.
All they have to do is to crowd a number of different champions almost every week, and sometimes the champions just run away, like Crash Holly or Raven used to do with the Hardcore Championship. It should not be a huge deal. It is definitely beyond anyone’s imagination why WWE is failing to book a title with such and easy concept.
The current scenario of the title is even worse. Dana Brooke won the title nearly two months ago and Reggie is protecting her for apparently no reason. They do not have any love interest, neither Reggie owes anything to Dana. Then why is Reggie protecting her? This all seems so meaningless.
And the only people who want the Championship are Tamina, R Truth and Akira Tozawa. Nobody else gives a damn about the title. Even at its worst time, all the jobbers used to run behind the title. Nowadays nobody cares for it. Such meaningless the title has turned out to be.
Things need to change for this title soon. WWE need to book this Championship every week properly. The 24/7 title can be one of the biggest attractions of WWE so they should not overlook it. So we seriously hope WWE books this Championship more frequently.
