Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett who is a former four times WCW World Heavyweight Champion recently said that there is room for multiple professional wrestling promotions.
There had been multiple times when major professional wrestling promotion coexisted together. When professional wrestling became popular after the 50s and the 60s, NWA was one of the major promotions which existed along with WWWF, which later became WWE.

Jeff Jarrett Thinks Multiple Major Promotions Can Coexist Together
The first clash between the major professional wrestling promotions started back in the 80s. That was the only time when there were more than two major professional wrestling promotions was working together.
These promotions were AWA, WWE and WCW. AWA could not survive for long as the promotion got defunct soon. But it produced some of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling.
The rivalry between WWE and WCW continued throughout the 90s. This war between the two professional wrestling promotions was one of the most entertaining things to look at during that time. This war was famously known as the Monday Night Wars. WWE started their own weekly television show RAW which used to air on Monday.

Later WCW started their own weekly show on the same time and on the same day which they named Nitro. This television war was extremely entertaining back in that time. Both professional wrestling promotions had their own fan bases. But at the end of the day WCW failed. And in 2001 the promotion got sold to none other than Vince McMahon who was the owner of the WWE.
After the death of WCW, WWE was the only major promotion left in the world of professional wrestling. Sure there were different promotion that tried to compete but nobody could come close to the WWE after that. TNA Wrestling tried to compete with WWE but it failed drastically.
The promotion still exists but it is nowhere near in the rating of WWE. Recently a new promotion has entered the world of professional wrestling and for the first time it looks like the WWE is going to get some serious competition since WCW.
It has not been able to beat the ratings of the main roster shows of WWE but surely it has all the potential to become the top brand in the world of professional wrestling one day. The current war between WWE and AEW is quite fun to watch it is definitely good for the world of wrestling.

Jeff Jarrett who is a former four times WCW World Heavyweight Champion recently spoke to The Business of the Business where he said that there are room for multiple professional wrestling promotions. Jeff Jarrett said;
“From a business point of view, not only do I think there’s room for number three, I think there’s room for number four and five. I say that in that yes, United States has been, with all due respect to Japan and Mexico, we have been the exporters of content around the world. But you look at India, you look at South America, they are well aware of WWE and AEW.
“Matter of fact, folks in India, they’re still very aware of TNA and Impact and all that. So, when you look at things from a global perspective, 10 years ago you looked at, ‘How are we gonna make that Spike deal go from A to B to C?’ That’s where the money was at. The money is not just driven by cable television [anymore].”
