Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has thanked Rohit Sharma for showing trust in him. Jadeja said that he would like to win India more matches with the bat to keep the faith.

Notable that Jadeja played a blinder of a knock 18-ball 45 in the second T20I as India chased down the target of 184 comfortably with 17 balls to spare. He made a comeback in this series after more than two months. He missed the entire South Africa tour due to an injury in his right forearm.

Ravindra Jadeja scored 18-ball 45 in the second T20I in Dharamsala

Jadeja has been slotted higher in the batting order so far in the series. In the first match, he was sent at no.4 while in the second match, he came out to bat at no.5. Even in post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma said that he wanted Jadeja to take more responsibility with the bat

“Yeah, absolutely, you know, I would like to thank Rohit because he trusted me and believed in me that I can score runs for my team. Hopefully, whenever I get an opportunity in the future, I’ll try and give my best, play according to the situation, and win the game for my team,” Jadeja said in the post-match press conference.

In the first match, he got a chance to face only 4 balls but on Saturday he made the most out of the opportunity he got with the bat. In both the games he also picked one wicket in each game.

“I am feeling better, I am confident and I am good to go. I am glad that I played a good innings for my team. Hopefully, I continue in the same in the coming games,” he added.

The third and final game of the series will be played on Sunday. After this series, both sides will play a 2-Test match series starting on March 4 in Mohali.
