With the biggest event of 2022, WrestleMania 38 is knocking on the door, we can definitely expect from world class matches, like every year. Since it is the biggest event of the Year, WWE reserves their best for this event. The card of the said event looks quite from so far so we can definitely expect some 5 star matches.
We can definitely hope that all the Championship of WWE will be on the line and at the said event. With that being said, WWE Intercontinental Championship title picture is quite clear for the event, even though it has not been made official yet.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Title Picture For WrestleMania 38 – Review
The title is currently held by the three times WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn and everybody hoped that he was going to be one of the better champions of the recent time. Fans expect some of the best title matches for at least a stage like Wrestlemania.
The title have been terribly booked since WrestleMania 37 after Apollo Crews won it from Big E. Everybody expected to see Apollo getting an upper mid card push. But that did not happen, instead the WWE failed to book the Championship properly, in fact they almost did not bother about it.
The title was so badly book that it did not get any pay per view booking. After a number of months after Apollo won it, he dropped it to Shinsuke Nakamura. The title was still not well booked. They did not bother about the title at all, in fact, Nakamura remained busy with unnecessary Tag Team feuds.
Recently the title is won by Sami Zayn which finally restored some hope into the hearts of the fans since Sami had been one of the most consistently book wrestler of Friday Night Smackdown. But once again it looks like WWE is going to book the title in a terrible way for WrestleMania 38.
Sami Zayn is currently involved in a feud with American actor Johnny Knoxville and it looks like he is going to defend the Championship at WrestleMania against Knoxville. This could have been the worst scenario possible for a stage like WrestleMania for the Intercontinental championship.
There are a lot of big names remain completely unbooked for WrestleMania 38. Even Nakamura did not get any match for the title. Since WWE failed to book such a prestigious title for an entire year properly, fans could really hope they were planning something better for Wrestlemania.
Johnny Knoxville should never be the Challenger for the WWE Intercontinental championship at WrestleMania 38. Sami Zayn is going to defend the title against Ricochet next week on Friday Night Smackdown, we seriously hope Sami drops the title and he goes on to have a non title match against Knoxville at WrestleMania 38.
