Professional wrestling Legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently expressed his desire to face the WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. He also praised the Tribal Chief.
Roman Reigns is currently the face of WWE and there is no doubt is the fact that he is the top star of the promotion right now. WWE was trying to build him as the face of the promotion since he joined the main roster and he had all the potential to be the top star of any professional wrestling promotion.
Booker T Wants To Face Roman Reigns?
He came to the main roster as a part of the famous WWE stable The Shield. All three members of the Shield was destined to be top stars for the promotion. But WWE had higher hopes on Roman. As soon as the stable broke, WWE started to push him as a singles main event star.
WWE make a huge mistake while building him as the top star of the promotion, they started to overpush him just like they pushed John Cena. WWE started to push John Cena he already and a huge fan base for himself, but Roman was a new face who had to earn some respect for himself before getting such a high spot.
But Roman capitalised on the situation pretty well. It took a little time for him but he became what WWE actually wanted him to be. He got leukaemia once during his WWE career and he fought a hard Battle against it to come back to in ring action once again.
After he returned to action he earned respect of the fans. WWE made another smart decision by turning heel, something they never did with John Cena. At the Payback pay per view event of 2020, he won the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship. Then he had been undefeated in WWE. He is finally the face of the promotion just like the way WWE wanted him to be.
Booker T who is a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently spoke on his The Hall of Fame podcast where he expressed his desire to face the WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. He also praised the Tribal Chief. He said;
“I’ll tell you, man, if I had the chance to get in there with anybody, if I had the chance to get in the ring with anyone right now on the roster, it would be Roman. Just to see what I had left in the tank. And that’s a match that, like I say, I am not looking to scratch any itch or anything like that.
“But I really think that’s a match that would motivate me to actually get in as tip-top shape as I possibly can at this stage in the game. To be able to go out there and just do it, just to say I did it. Because the dude is good.”
