This week’s SmackDown started as footage from the show of the Madison Square Garden was shown where WWE Champion Brock Lesnar was beaten down by WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns and the Usos.
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar came out to the arena. He called out Roman Reigns and said that he wanted to make him suffer. Paul Heyman came out and reminded him that he was beaten by the Bloodline. He also informed that Roman Reigns was not here tonight.

Brock Lesnar said if Roman was not here tonight who was going to protect him. Brock Lesnar started to change Paul Heyman and Paul Heyman ran away. The chase continued at the backstage, securities tried to stop Lesnar but he beat them down. Heyman sat on a car and ran away.
Match 1 – Sheamus and Ridge Holland defeated The New Day
This was an important match because this match marked the main roster debut of Pete Dunne. His main roster name is Butch. Butch? That was all they could come up with? Big E got seriously injured during the match while taking a Belly to Belly suplex, he hurt his neck. Sheamus pinned Kofi for the win.

A six man tag team match was supposed to take place next where Drew McIntyre was supposed to team up with the Viking Raiders to take on the Happy Folks and Jinder Mahal. But Happy Folks, Jinder Mahal and Shanky beat down Viking Raiders and attacked McIntyre who fought back and beat down everyone except Corbin as he escaped. The match that was scheduled to take place could never happen.
Next up was a confrontation between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey. It was nothing but an argument and it never went physical. Charlotte Flair said that she was going to humiliate Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. Rousey said that she was either going home with Charlotte’s arm or she would make her tap out.
Match 2 – Naomi and Sasha Banks defeated Natalya and Shayna Baszler
It was a three minute long filler and it was not a bad match. The match was just booked to present the new team of Naomi and Sasha as a strong force. Sasha pinned Natalya for the win.

Match 3 – Rick Boogs defeated Jey Uso
It was stipulated as if Boogs could win the match we would go along with Nakamura to get a Tag Team Championship opportunity at WrestleMania. Boogs completely manhandled Jey Uso in this match. Jimmy tried to distract him from outside but nothing worked. Boogs pinned Jey with the Oklahoma Slam.
Match 4 – WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet defeated Sami Zayn to retain
This was the main event of the night and a lot of things were happening during and after the match. Before the match, Austin Theory and Pat McAfee fought each other. It was good to see McAfee in action after a long time.
About the match it was really good and definitely deserved to be the main event of the night. It was booked for over 10 minutes and it was really a fun match. Ricochet pinned Sami Zayn 650 Splash to retain the Championship.

After the match, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey was seen fighting in the backstage, they were fighting in the parking lot to be exact. Charlotte Flair came out stronger of the duo this time as she knocked out Ronda Rousey on top of the bonnet of a car. Charlotte Flair stood tall as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
It was an average show overall. There were a lot of promo footages that sometimes made the show really boring. The Intercontinental championship match was good, rest of the matches but nothing but fillers. We give it 1.5 stars out of 5.
