Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle who is a six times world champion in WWE and a six times TNA World Heavyweight champion recently revealed a funny story from the new year’s Revolution 2006 pay per view event of the WWE. He said that he was eliminated early from the elimination chamber match of the event because he lost any Rock, Papers and Scissors game.
This was the fourth elimination chamber pay per view event in WWE history and till then the Chamber match was a property of Monday night RAW only. In the previous years, the chamber was match was organized by Monday night RAW and Smackdown did not get to organize a chamber match for quite a long time.
Kurt Angle Reveals Funny Story From New Year’s Revolution 2006
In the 2006 New Year’s Revolution pay per view event, which was of course a RAW exclusive pay per view event, John Cena defended the Championship against 5 different man inside Elimination Chamber, and Kurt Angle was one of them.
Angle entered the match forth just to get eliminated quickly by Shawn Michaels. It was quite shocking to see former world champion is getting eliminated so early where wrestlers like Carlito and Chris Masters were still remaining. Speaking of Carlito and Chris Masters they were the last two wrestlers apart from John Cena in the match.
The match was of course poorly booked. The only aim of the match was to book the heroism of John Cena and they did not care about the rest. Speaking of the rest, Shawn Michaels and Kane was involved in this match well who also got eliminated early and got little to no offense.
This match is remembered for only one thing and that is the first ever Money in the Bank cash in made by Edge at the end of this match. He cashed it in on John Cena to win his first ever WWE World Championship. That is the only remarkable thing about this match, without it, the match is quite irrelevant.

He said that he was eliminated early from the elimination chamber match of the event because he lost any Rock, Papers and Scissors game. He said;
“The reason I got eliminated early was because I won Paper, Rock, Scissors. John Cena was the champion and he was going to retain the title at the Elimination Chamber, so the other 5 of us wanted to get eliminated early.
“They didn’t want to last the whole match because they weren’t going to win. I won Paper, Rock, Scissors so I got eliminated first. That doesn’t happen very often but we did it that night.”
