WWE has officially merged two of their World Championships at WrestleMania 38. It seems like that they will merge the Women’s Championships soon as well as it has already been announced that the Tag Team championships are getting merged as well.

Merging all these titles leads to only one thing, WWE is going to stop the brand extension. That is right there will be no more different rosters for Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown. This was the second attempt of WWE to extend the brands, but this one failed as well, in fact it was a bigger failure than the first one.

Why WWE Should Not Merge The Women’s Championships

But as the situation stood, it will not be a bad decision to merge the brands. WWE is already failing to produce quality storylines and feuds. They are not even being able to produce storylines or feuds for their mid card championships either.

WrestleMania 38 was a good show, it might have shadowed all the buildings behind most of their matches for the event. But the regular viewers cannot forget how terrible the weekly shows had been recently. Merging the brand might have come out with more opportunities for the creatives and the superstars as well there will be a lower mid card division surely.

Two of the championships that are also rumoured to get merged had the two Women’s Championship. It is rumoured that Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair will have a match after WrestleMania Backlash pay per view event and it will be a unification match. Soon the brands will be merged again.

But we seriously believe WWE should not merge these two Championships. When there will be no more brand split, there will be over 20 women in one single roster. Not everyone can have Championship feuds. Most of them will be book in unnecessary feuds and pointless matches. Ultimately it will not be easy to push most of the wrestlers.

This is the reason why WWE needs to come out with a mid card Championship title for the women, much like the TBS Championship that was introduced by AEW. A mid card Championship will give a huge chance to almost all the women wrestlers to shine properly.

WWE has already failed to book most of their championships throughout the last season, not even the men’s mid card Championships. You may argue that if the WWE fails to book men’s mid card titles, then how can one expect to get good bookings in case of women? In this case we seriously believe WWE will focus on booking better feuds and storylines after the brands merge.
