Twitter goes crazy as Sunrisers Hyderabad become the new IPL champion

That’s it. Here we are. A new Champion from IPL 2016 and it’s Sunrisers Hyderabad as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 runs in an electrifying final showing a great example of fight back.
The ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) crowned a new champion, breaking the tradition of the past six years. Since IPL 3 in 2010 till IPL 8 in 2015, the trophy has been won by either Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (2010, 2011), Gautam Gambhir’s Kolkata Knight Riders (2012, 2014) or Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians (2013, 2015).
Virat Kohli’s inspirational leadership was up against the brute force with which David Warner steered Sunrisers Hyderabad when both the teams, eyeing their maiden Indian Premier League title, squared off in the high-intensity summit clash in Bengaluru on Sunday.
RCB, however, had a slight advantage over Sunrisers as they had the experience of playing in an IPL final twice in the past — 2009 and 2011, but on both occasions, they had finished runners-up. Sunrisers’ best finish was a play-off berth which they managed in their debut season in 2013. But this time the Warner-led Sunrisers have done it as yet another IPL season comes to end and we witnessed some great knocks, great bowling spells and great fielding efforts.

The past two finals brought a mental baggage to Royal Challengers. For years they have been fancied to win the IPL, only to stumble and fall at some point.
Here is how people on twitter reacted to Sunriser Hyderabad’s win.
