John Cena Explains What It Takes To Be A Perfect Heel In WWE

Even though there were teases of him turning heel every now and then. During his long feud with the Rock in the previous decade, it almost looked like he is going to turn heel now. But ultimately he never turned heel. And the long time dream of the smark professional wrestling fans remained a dream and it will always remain a dream.

And it looks like we will never get to see him as a heel again since he is more focused on his Hollywood career right now and he does not give more than one all two matches per year. Those who have watched him as a heel back in 2003 know what he is capable of. It is quite unfortunate we will never get to see him in that role again.

“As a heel, you should always lean toward the side of virtue, so I think [a good heel is] someone who thinks what they’re doing is virtuous, but it’s really genuinely evil. can’t look past their own truth, and what they do is genuinely evil.

“When I sit down with an opponent in WWE, it’s not to have a Kung Fu-style exhibition. We discuss why we are fighting. And we will get to the bottom of that, because ‘I want to win’ is not enough. ‘I want to be a champion’ is not enough. There needs to be some more.

“Normally, as a good guy, you lean on the side of virtue, and the bad guy is the one who leans away from it. That’s a great start, but as WWE gets to building these personalities more and more, I think the actual answer is shades of grey.”
